Responsibilities include: Performing 1-D and 3-D engine analysis services, including internal combustion engine simulations for engine and vehicle manufacturers and suppliers. Utilizing engineering modeling software such as GT-SUITE to predict engine breathing/performing, optimizing intake and exhaust design to maximize engine performance, and simulating engine control systems. Performing kinetic modeling of after-treatment systems and turbocharger selection for automotive industry clients. Telecommuting permitted. M.S. Mechanical/ Automotive Systems Engineering and 12 months’ in the position and/or as a Simulation Engineer Intern. Academic program or experience must have included: GT-POWER, GT-DRIVE, VT-DESIGN, modeFRONTIER, and AVL Concerto.
